How it works
Four modalities, one pass
The vacuum goes first. It draws a fold of tissue up into the handpiece, which does two things at once: it brings the fat layer nearer the electrodes, and it pushes blood and lymph through the treated zone. Rollers add mechanical massage on the two large-area heads. Mono-polar RF at 2.64 MHz then supplies the deep heating. Per our engineering archive, RF in this arrangement works tissue roughly 5 to 15 mm down, while the 700-2000 nm infrared warms the upper layers to around 5 mm and spares the epidermis. Warm the tissue, improve local perfusion, let normal metabolism carry the rest.
Which controls actually change your result
Ten RF power steps. Eight suction levels, five infrared levels, four roller speeds, plus saved and customised modes. In real rooms you'll settle into two or three saved programmes and vary them by body area rather than by patient. Thinner tissue over the inner arm doesn't want the abdomen's suction setting. The countdown timer stops output on its own, which matters when one operator is running two rooms.
For the evidence base on this whole device class, the review by Mulholland, Paul and Chalfoun in Clinical Plastic Surgery (2011, PubMed 21824546) covers radiofrequency, ultrasound, cryolipolysis and low-level laser together, and it's honest about the limits.
Where the 40 kHz cavitation module fits
Different physics entirely. Our device manuals record the cavitation unit as a 40 kHz low-frequency ultrasound handpiece with a 72 mm tip, paired with its own semiconductor-cooled 2.64 MHz RF head, around 11 kg in total. Low-frequency sound couples into the hypodermal fat layer, and the pressure swings in each cycle stress fat cell membranes. Our documentation recommends running that module alongside a slimming console, not instead of one. On low-frequency ultrasound specifically, Tonucci and colleagues reported a single-arm prospective study of 20 women in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (2014, PubMed 25192747) — five sessions, no control group and no randomisation, so the reported circumference changes cannot be separated from diet or natural variation. Read it and form your own view on expected magnitude.
